May 12, 2021 · haha, No not really. We wouldn't be making any money if we had to grind .015" after heat treating. Internal grinding is a very slow operation when it comes down to material removal. If I make 25mm metric side locks I would probably make them 50mm gage length and 60 or 70mm gage lengths. Nice round numbers.
